Narcotics officers in Hania, Crete, yesterday seized a large cannabis plantation containing 700 trees and 330 kilos of unprocessed marijuana. Acting on a tip, officers raided the makeshift plantation that had been carved into a forest in Rodovani and became embroiled in a shootout with a group of unidentified suspects who fled into the woods. Further investigation also revealed a large drying shed containing the 330 kilos of unprocessed cannabis.
