Politie vindt 3,5 kilo cannabis

Police on Crete yesterday detained a 54-year-old man after finding 3.5 kilograms of cannabis hidden in several small barrels in a forest close to his home in the port of Hania. Officers also seized a pair of scales and 500 euros in cash from the suspect who has been detained in the past on drug-related charges and is believed to be a dealer in the area. In a related development police arrested a 24-year-old Bulgarian woman in Thessaloniki in connection with suspected heroin dealing. Officers found nearly half a kilogram of the drug hidden in a plastic container in the base of a road sign on the Thessaloniki-Kilkis national road.
